| Tails 64 08/06/17 3:16:54 PM #73 | Based on the reviews, I thought Final Fantasy X would be an epic game, but I think it's one of the most overrated games of all time. Especially near the beginning, I felt as if I were doing nothing but walking from one cutscene to another. I thought the story was mediocre: the relationship between the protagonist and Yuna never seemed authentic, and many of the twists were predictable. The voice acting was a bit off, you know? Ya. Most of the world was super, super linear, just following the map's arrow through landscapes that were like hallways. So, the world didn't feel alive, and there wasn't much to explore. The game was super easy until the last few hours of it, so the battle system rarely got a chance to shine. That's a shame, because it actually was fun right near the end once bosses required strategy. The sphere grid system felt like a waste of time, especially since most characters had a linear path on it unless you decided to unlock a different path just for the heck of it--but with as easy as the game was, that wasn't necessary. Blitzball wasn't exactly a fun side-game either.
